The peace and tranquility in spite of being so close to the road. The stunning pool area overlooking the vineyards and Paarl mountains.
Parking right outside my room
The paint smell in the room, the 200 decibells the extractor fan pumps out when going into the bathroom, the tv that has 6 channels, 2 of which are snow and none of them are m-net or sports (RTL - Really?) and the fact that people park 2 meters from the bed.
Everything was good and enjoyable, except the early awakening. Food and service was really good. Thank you!
Was woken early on Sat morning by kitchen staff, downstairs. We celebrated our wedding anniversary and wanted to sleep in, but could not. I had to get dressed and go downstairs to ask them to be quiet, which they did, but it was too late - I could not sleep further.I was also told that they make special arrangements for anniversaries, if they'd known, but I did mention that in my request box beforehand and it was not communicated to the night clerk.
Nice pool , the garden rooms are protected from the road noise
We had mosquitoes in our room and were both badly bitten. The room was opposite the pool and the night time swims of our noisy neighbours was a bit irksome.
The pool and the very friendly lady with Brown hair At the reception
warm welcome, great room and it all worked seemlessly
Large, comfortable rooms. Loads of parking. Although on the main road it was very quite. Walking distance from shop and restuarant. Lovely breakfast that is included. Just what I would expect from South African hospitality.
Breakfast should be served till atleast 10H30.
Great service and friendly staff.
Too far from city center and no negotiated rates with taxis
Very clean, helpfull staff and room was nice and big - very impressed and would definately stay there again.
easy access from freeway and main road
water not hot enough in showers
Secure, clean, friendly Guest House. Helpful staff, Nice breakfast. Secure off-road parking.
If occupying a room at the front you may hear a little traffic noise.
Management as well as staff was very welcoming, friendly and shows interest in their clients individual needs, yet they still have a healthy balance to keep you in your comfort zone as far as your privacy is concerned. It is also within walking distance of shopping facilities. Big Plus!
Cleaning staff need to always remember to Knock before entering. It is common knowledge, no matter how quite it seems inside the room.
Very friendly staff. We even got a last-call for breakfast Sunday morning. Very thoughtful. First time that has happened to me. Clean rooms. A nice refreshing pool for hot days with a duck that is not afraid of people. I have a peck on the hand as proof. Safe with car guard. Close to shops and restaurants. Ideally situated in the Paarl winelands. Nice view of the vineyard.
Loud guests when trying to chill by the pool.
Breakfasts are good. Shop and restaurant on the other side of the street. Good spot for car traveling (easy to get out of the town to the motorway, no traffic problems). Fridge to your disposal is nice.
TV was very small and choice of channels is very poor. Cleanliness is so-so as well as the internet speed (paid extra) - but these are common problems in many hotels in SA. Water in the pool was quite cold.
